Participate in the 8th Annual Riverfest Funnel Cake Eating Contest for your chance to earn bragging rights and a prize courtesy of The Big Talker 1480 KQAM and Sports Radio 1410 KGSO. Listen for chances to sign up on-air starting June 1. Any remaining open spots will be filled on-site starting at 2:30 p.m. Contestants will have ten minutes to eat as many funnel cakes as they can!

Build a river-worthy vessel in 90 minutes or less with cardboard, duct tape, pool noodles and a box cutter. No team size limit, but at least one team member (ages 12 or older) must ride in the vessel. Awards will be presented for fastest time, best design and most spectacular sinking. $20 per team.

Enjoy open play and tournaments. Learn from qualified instructors. Bring your own horseshoes or use those provided. Open play requires a button. KANSAS HEALTH FOUNDATION RIVER RUN

June 4, 2016

A Riverfest tradition, River Run features a terrific route adjacent to the Arkansas River, a high-energy finish line, bib tag timing and music at the RedGuard Stage. Get your game face on and challenge family and friends as you go for the gold! All registrants receive a Riverfest button and commemorative T-shirt. Finishers of every race receive a medallion and complimentary finish line breakfast. An awards ceremony will take place on the RedGuard Stage immediately following completion of each race.
