Early bird buttons offered exclusively at Meineke Car Care Centers through May 5.

April 17, 2023 — WICHITA, Kan.— Wichita Festivals, along with partner Meineke Car Care Centers, kicked off sales of discounted Riverfest buttons.

Admiral Windwagon Smith XLIX Dr. Kaye Monk-Morgan joined Mayor Brandon Whipple in purchasing buttons at today’s celebration, held at the 2344 S. Seneca St., Meineke Car Care Center. Riverfest, the state’s largest community event, will take place June 2-June 10. The event features diverse stage shows, fireworks, fun along the Arkansas River, athletic and other contests and engaging activities for all ages.

“Our collaboration with Riverfest is one of our favorites, because they and their volunteers all truly embody the spirit of Wichita and everything that makes this city great,” said Grant Bauserman, partner in Meineke.

Besides perennial favorites, the 2023 Riverfest will include new events. This year, attendees can celebrate the 51st Riverfest with “Chicken Little” presented by Wichita Children’s Theatre, the Plein Air art competition where attendees can watch artists create in the outdoors and Downtown Get Down where the whole community celebrates Wichita together. Returning to the festival are the Safelite AutoGlass Sundown Parade, Fidelity Bank River Run, Spirit Aerosystems Salute to the Military, Textron Aviation Opening Night Fireworks, and the Capitol Federal Fireworks Finale.

Our region’s signature event returns in less than 60 days,” said Nancy Duling, president and CEO of Wichita Festivals, Inc. “Today starts the rush of buying buttons – with fantastic early pricing for the next three weeks. We know the community is anxious to snag a bargain on nine consecutive days of great events, diverse concerts, and family-friendly fun along the river. Now is the time to swing into action and get your buttons!”

During the early bird sales period, April 17-May 6, buttons are available for $10 for adults and $5 for children at the Meineke Car Care Centers in Wichita (925 E. Central Ave., 2344 S. Seneca St., 1810 W. 21st St., 3430 N. Woodlawn St. and 660 N. Webb Rd.) and Derby (1910 N. Nelson Dr.).
