Wichita Festivals Inc. has released the full nine-day concert lineup. The Riverfest has a wide array of artist’s coming in covering styles from hip-hop, country, rock, gospel, and R&B, and more.
Riverfest is welcoming the likes of Digital Underground, Monterey Jack, Drake White, Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas, Foghat, Danielle Nicole, Banda Cuisillos and previously announced Hunter Hayes and Kool & the Gang. There are also so many more talented artists who are celebrating Riverfest this year.
Digital Underground, Friday’s opening night hip-hop headliner, may be best known by audiences for their iconic song “The Humpty Dance.” The band also carved out a path for west coast hip-hop and rap in the early 90’s.
Tuesday evening Riverfest is switching to country with Drake White, who made Rolling Stone’s 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know. With hit songs like “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” and “Power of a Woman” country fans around Kansas are sure to be excited.
Starship featuring Mickey Thomas is rockin’ Riverfest through the week with hits like “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” and “We Built this City.” Don’t “Slow Ride” into the concert Wednesday night either, because Foghat is the opening act.
The previously announced Kool & The Gang is Riverfest’s final night headliner, and the reaction on social media was incredibly positive. The 18-piece band boasts some of the most recognizable songs like “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Cherish,” “Get Down On It” and many other iconic hits.
With over 20 musicians and bands joining the lineup this year and a wide breadth of genres there is sure to be a concert for everyone every night of Riverfest.

Button sales started Monday and you can pick up one during operating hours by stopping by Wichita Festivals Inc. at 444 East William Street, Wichita, KS 67202 or order one online to be delivered to your home. Beginning May 3, QuikTrip will sell buttons at all locations in Wichita, Derby, Newton, and El Dorado.
